At the end of September, we welcomed Nicole for work experience at The DM Lab for a week. This is her blog and her words!
Day 1:
On day 1, I was introduced to all the members of The DM Lab. I then started doing a Sponsorship Directory for Westfields FC which included categorising a spreadsheet and then I created a table on the website and filled it in with the content that I categorised at the beginning.
Day 2:
On day 2, I continued filling in the content on the tables. There were seven different tables that I created and filled in which took most of the day. For the rest of the day, Harvey taught me how to create links that were used on this website.
Day 3:
On day 3, I finished off the Sponsorship Directory for Westfields FC. After that, Joe gave me the job of moving pictures from an old blog post website to a new one. Which I didn’t finish until day 4. Toward the end of the day, I started creating an Instagram post to promote a First Aid Taster Session for Young Leaders in Football and Rugby.
Day 4:
On day 4, I finished moving the pictures from the old website to the new one. The next thing that I did was rewrite a magazine page into Word to be used on a website. After finishing that, I finished the Instagram post and used that template to use on a website.
Day 5:
On day 5, I wrote a blog post about my work experience for the DM Lab website. I also finished the poster. After that, I brought some cakes for the staff to say thank you and Dale gave me some keyrings and badges which I love.
In Conclusion:
I have loved working at The DM Lab, and I have learned a lot about what goes on here. All the staff were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable working here. Above all, I have loved every second of working here.
Thank you 🙂
Thank you for your Work nicole, it was an absolute pleasure to have you omboard for work experience at The DM Lab!
