Charity & Community Work

The DM Lab are helping veterans on their entrepreneurial journey. Showing how to take their offering to market. They may not have the capital to development their product or service – we’ll help them create a digital presence of their own.

We are pleased to announce that The DM Lab has received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS). It is our statement of intent to support defence personnel following our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant.

We partnered with NMITE, a revolution in higher education. We’ll deliver courses and lend our expertise to both aspiring youngsters along with military veterans looking to retrain and / or learn in preparation for life on Civvy Street.

Our latest supportive endeavour is the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre. Chris has become a Trustee of the organisation & The DM Lab is enhancing their digital presence with a website, logo & branding and fundraised for them in 2022.

We’ve helped Luctonians establish a professional & manageable web presence which the in-house team manage. We’ve also helped with offline marketing literature & graphics.

We redeveloped the Mortimer Park website with the same CMS as the main Luctonians site. with a sleeker look & added functionality, it will help the club promote the venue & events side of things.

We helped Ledbury Rugby Football Club step away from an out-of-the-box web solution to a unique, customised website that we trained the in-house team of volunteers to evolve and manage.

The venue at LRFC had its own site but we redeveloped this in line with the new LRFC website. With more functionality & easy to use CMS, the team are able to manage th site in-house.

Greyhound RFC are a small club with a big heart. We helped them with a dedicated web presence to promote the club with a long-term goal of growing the club’s senior, junior & ladies sections & the club’s stature.

We’ve helped support Belmont Wanderers FC & today boasts 18 sides overall with thriving junior, senior & girls & ladies sections. The club also have a nice little website to set them apart from other clubs.

The DM Lab developed & donated a site to the CUBs team which we are, over time, showing the team how to manage to help compliment their social presence & spread the word about the fantastic work they do.

We’ve helped the Herefordshire branch of the national Autistic society consolidate their web presence with a beautiful new website that the team will be able to manage themselves & promote their work.

We sponsored the one-off pink shirt Luctonians wore for a fixture & auctioned off immediately after the match in the 2017 / 2018 season. The club raised almost £10k for Breast Cancer Haven Hereford.

The DM Lab helped the festival establish itself in it’s inaugral year in 2017 with a website, branding & promotion. Now established as an annual event, the festival is going from strength to strength.

We sponsored Greyhound Juniors RFC Under 9s section to take part in Sale Sharks’ Festival of Rugby in October where they also got to meet the players & take part in a parade at half time!

Every year we donate tickets to Circus Starr as it comes to Hereford bringing joy to disadvantaged children & families across the UK through the magical art of circus performance.

Chris has become a member of the Board of Trustees at the fantastic Canwood Gallery. He / we will be offering our assistance with their online and digital presence.

We were given the opportunity to be both the matchball and the match sponsor for Hereford RFC for their game against Longton RFC. Hereford RFC won the game 35-5.

This summer we are sponsoring Colwall Cricket Club’s fixture card. A new venture for us with regard to type of sport! The first time we have worked with a cricket club!

We supported our friend Martha of the awesome Send Cake by contributing toward the growth of the business. By doing this we’re now a part of the VIP Cake Club!

We support the Be The Change Awards. An up and coming new initiative for the social impact sector, recognising ethical & sustainable brands with a powerful impact story to tell and inspire those around them.

With our presence and stature within the local business community, we support Herefordshire Means Business and the Herefordshire Business Awards as sponsors, speakers and judges.

We’re assisting The Cart Shed who provide tailored therapeutic support in a woodland setting. Helping those experiencing an imbalance in their lives to heal, learn and find friendship.

We are very proud sponsors of Westfields Football Club’s senior and junior sections. Supporting and working with such a high profile club is an incredibly exciting opportunity for us!

We both sponsored the Herefordshire Business Awards in 2018 & 2019, but in 2019 we immersed ourselves further by developing a bespoke award entry system.

The DM Lab developed a website for the Parent Carer Voice Herefordshire. Helping the team advertise their events, offer support and raise both their profile.

We designed a flyer to help advertise an event Herefordshire Headway were putting on. This was at the newly refurbished Green Dragon Hotel toward Christmas 2019.

We designed a matchday programme for the Adelaide Law Foundation Charity Football Match to help them raise both awareness and money for the foundation.

Chris & Dale were due to be running the London Marathon in April 2020 but as with everything else, it was postponed. However we did take part in the #TwoPointSix Challenge running 26 miles on the 26th!

We were given the opportunity to redevelop the website for the Hereford River Carnival and become long-term sponsors of the event which we have a personal interest in which is great!

Jo Kippax came to us to help set up a Facebook Group to help our community of doctors and nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic to support their health and wellbeing as they look after ours.

We joined the Small Business COVID-19 Support Group on Facebook. Furthermore, we have been very active in contributing weekly to help others who may be finding the situation difficult, offering our help.

Not only are we a member of the Herefordshire Green Network, we also redeveloped their website! Helping the team promote the fantastic work they do and to appeal to more to join them!

We are actively supporting Yeleni – a local complementary health centre & cancer charity. We’ll be promoting the team’s work & using their services as part of our wellness in the workplace drive!

As avid supporters of as many local charities as we can, we were kindly given an opportunity to redevelop the Herefordshire Mind website and improving their digital presence.

Tasked with the redevelopment of one of the most beautiful spots in Herefordshire, we delivered a sleek new website packed with up-to-date functionality and features to help further its appeal.

We took on the Virtual London Marathon in 2021 once more but this time in support and on behalf of the awesome ELY Memorial Fund. Raising over £200, we even beat our PB from the VLM 2020!

As a business, we’re proud to be able to support a number of great causes. We’ve spread our wings a little and are supporting Chengeta Wildlife – an anti-poaching charity based in the heart of Africa.

In 2022, we completed the ‘Pegasus Slam’ – 6 ultramarathons in 6 months (1 a month from April – September), a total of 240 miles of running and 23,515 feet of elevation raising funds for the HVSC.

We ran the 2022 London Marathon on behalf of the National Autistic Society Herefordshire Branch. Finally, this year it actually happened after 2 years of deferrals and cancellations! We raised over £1500 too!

We’re grateful to be approached by Anthony or Bartestree FC to support the club by redesigning the website for them. In turn, the club kindly allowed us to put our logo on the away kit & have a pitchside board too!

We’re really pleased to have discovered Mind Over Mountains and jumped at an opportunity to fund 2 places for participants from Phoenix Bereavement, a local charity looking after children following the loss of a loved one.

An opportunity arose to sponsor the ELY Memorial Fund’s hole 3 at their annual Charity Golf Day. We’ve not had many opportunities to support those around us lately so jumped at the chance to get involved!

We recently took an opportunity to support another local football club – Hereford Lads Club FC. We have a pitchside board at the County Ground. A long time coming in getting involved, but we got there in the end!

Mandy & Elaine from The Kindle Centre involved us to redesign the centre’s website. They wanted a more user-friendly platform & generally a better looking, easier to use site. As regulars to most events at the centre, we were able to better understand what users wanted!

The HVSC was the chosen charity at the South Wye Police Boxing Academy Christmas Show. With our connections to both the HVSC (Trustee) & SWPBA (all 3 of Dale’s kids attend the club) we were delighted to be able to support the event with printed assets – Thanks Sam & Vince!

Through a connection with Westfields FC & Hereford Junior Parkrun, Jon, chairman of Hereford Couriers Running Club approached us to develop a race app so that members could see how their times fared based on British Athletics standards with printable / downloadable certificates.

In the summer of 2022, The DM Lab was given the opportunity to sponsor the U15 girls on the Hereford Lions Tour 2022 to Holland. The girls had an excellent tour culminating in winning the the plate. FB – Internationaal Jeugdtoernooi – v.v. Brederodes Lekvogels on tour.

We produced a slick new site for Hereford Pegasus Football Club after being given an opportunity by Kevin Bishop. Our logo was proudly added to the shirt sleeve of the playing jersey.

We try and help as many local groups and clubs as we can. We dontaed £200 toward MDC's 15th year celebrations and the donation was put towards costumes for the show in June 2026.

Dale had been a part of Hereford Junior PArkrun since almost the start. With over 100 volunteer credits to his name, he also supported the event by producing flyers to distribute to help grow the event.

We were pleased to be able to support Hereford Lifesaving Club with some printed material to help advertise the lessons that were run by volunteers so we wanted to give them something for their valuable time.

We sponsored the inaugral Herefordshire Junior Cross Country Championships and supported the event with a flyer to distribute around schools to attract participants.

We supported the Howard Bulmer Charitable Trust by producing a user-friendly website that the trust can use to advertise themselves and the support and grants they offer.

We were one of the sponsors of the Charity Golf Day in memory of Dave Caton at the Alexander Park Resort in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.

We supported the production of HAPS Puss in Boots that Hazel is an active member of and so it was a no brainer for us to offr our support to it!
