Sunshine Radio Pride Awards 2018
Last night we were truly honoured – being in a room with so many great people, business and organisations. This time last year we were nervous wrecks, discovering we were the minnows in our category – but we won! However, despite winning, the night was brilliant. So much so that we would be getting involved however we could. This came in the way of sponsorship.
We remember the struggles of being a new business, and we knew the work that goes into it. So this category instantly appealed to us. The finalists in the category were Mills Mobility Aids, Three Fruity Ladies and The Wags Club. Each had a brilliant story and all worthy of being a winner.
We get a real buzz knowing that we were a tiny cog in a big machine that was the Sunshine Radio Pride Awards. Supporting such a great event that champions the amazing people, businesses and organisations in our county.
We met some old friends and made some new ones. It was great to see Gregg and the host Mark – usually entertaining us during the week on the radio but tonight seeing them in person tonight really added to the evening!
We were on Table 3, with Kents Building Plastics and the Wye Valley Visitor Centre. Pretty high profile company!
Following an introduction by Alfie Best we were soon into the awards. Making light of some early technical difficulties proceedings were soon underway.
Every story was worthy of being a winner. As was said by numerous people throughout the night, everyone there was a winner. This was so true. Our category was won by the Three Fruity Ladies. The finalists, Mills Mobility Aids and The Wags Club did so well too. Being a finalist out of everybody who entered is still a very good achievement!
It was a great night and it was brilliant to be involved. We would like to extend our congratulations to all the winners and all the finalists. Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re awesome!
