We are pleased to announce that The DM Lab has received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
It is our statement of intent to support defence personnel following our signing of the Armed Forces Covenant. The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) recognises commitment and support from UK employers for defence personnel. The scheme comprises bronze, silver and gold awards. This is for employers who support those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families.
What will we be offering?
We have some workshops planned for later in the year. With our new desks we can offer placements to those with an interest in web development and digital marketing in-house as part of our commitment.
Thee workshops will involve us giving tutorials on developing a website using our framework. There are out-of-the-box solutions out there (Wix, Squarespace etc) however they are limited with what you can do with marketing. We’re giving those serving or those that have served the opportunity to embrace a complete digital presence from scratch. From designing and building their sites to managing and marketing it going forward with our expert guidance.
Why are we focusing on this?
When returning to civvy street, they do not have the capital or even the knowledge of how to take their product or idea to market. Our offering is to cover this with our workshops and as a prominent design and digital marketing agency, we will be able to offer something of genuine value.
The workshops will be fun, comprehensive and informative. Everything from buying a domain name to setting up and developing a website all the way through to optimising it will be covered. Of course, as with every workshop we do, there will be accompanying literature sharing further tips and knowledge.
Embracing the opportunity
We have a genuine passion developing businesses, their ideas and seeing them grow. In addition with this offering, we get to see the whole thing through. From planting the seed all the way through to finally picking the fruit! Furthermore it’s an opportunity we’re really grateful for and above all we intend to maximise our involvement with the accreditation!
