Midlands Business Awards
On Tuesday 30th October, we visited the Arden Hotel and Leisure Club in Solihull. It was our face to face interview with a panel of judges from the Midlands Business Awards. An exciting but very daunting experience – like nothing we’ve done before! Hopefully the nerves didn’t get the better of us on the day.
You may have clocked recently that we are a finalist in the 2019 awards for ‘Midlands Corporate Commitment to the Community’. We are still coming to terms with this overwhelming news!
The awards cover Shropshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. To think how many businesses are in these regions is unfathomable. However, to be one of four finalists is a phenomenal achievement for the business.
2019 is a special year in the history of the Midlands Business Awards. It will see the celebration of their 13th anniversary.
The Midlands Business Awards are recognised as one of the most prestigious Business Awards in the midlands region. It is making a difference to businesses of all sizes, all industries and all sectors from across the whole of the Midlands region, and how they are perceived. The sheer magnitude of the event and being a finalist is incredibly exciting for us. Also, we are the only business from the Herefordshire and Worcestershire region. So we’ll be flying the flag for our wonderful county as the prestigious ceremony next March. Furthermore, we hope that we’ve done enough to pick up the award – that would be some achievement!
Fellow ‘Midlands Corporate Commitment to the Community Award’ category finalists are:
InTouch Games Ltd from Halesowen. Intouch Games is the company behind many world leading brands in the mobile casino (eGaming) sector – mFortune, PocketWin and Mr Spin.
Close Brothers Asset Finance and Leasing from Burton-on-Trent. Close Brothers Asset Finance offers a range of funding options including Hire Purchase, Leasing and Refinancing.
Advance your Wellbeing from Birmingham. Advance build a strong relationship with you to improve your corporate and social responsibility towards your employees’ wellbeing.
Seeing what the other finalists contribute to community schemes and initiatives is above all very commendable. We do what we can with what we can and aspire to be able to offer what the guys above do. However we are very honoured to have been recognised for what we, as a micro business, do and achieve.
Finally, we wish the fellow finalists in all categories the very best of luck and we’ll see you in March next year!
