Another weekend passes, Team DM Lab enters another 10k race!
This time, we entered the Northleach 10k all-terrain run in the Cotswolds. The race was a single lap around the beautiful town of Northleach, through fields, up hills, over a stream and along narrow country lanes. The weather was kind, the sun was out and the turnout was brilliant – the organisers said entrant numbers were up by 40% on last year – which included Chris and Dale!
Having left it late to enter, unsure if we would be in any state to run following last weeks Hereford Half Marathon, the event organisers Tessa and Charlie were very accommodating and we thank them for that! So caught up in the post race festivities we neglected to take our own photos (which is a rarity!) but we were enjoying all sorts of food and entertainment – provided by Ola Samba – great show guys! Gave it a real summery feel!
All proceeds went to Walking with the Wounded and Northleach C of E Primary School. Massive thanks to all the volunteers and race marshals on the day – the event was well organised and the marshals were very supportive – especially when it came to those nasty inclines!
We really enjoyed ourselves and it was something different to the normal road running we were used to. Thanks guys!
