Sale Sharks v Worcester Warriors

As usual, there’s loads going on here but it probably wouldn’t be of any interest. So, as not to neglect our blog further, here’s something a little more interesting…

Here at The DM Lab we’re huge fans of rugby.

Following recent trips to Twickenham to see England v Wales and England v Ireland, we took a trip up Manchester way.

On Saturday March 24th we went to the AJ Bell to watch Sale Sharks take on Worcester Warriors. It was our first trip to the stadium and we can tick it off our growing list of trips to stadiums around England. A lovely spring day with even a little sunshine!

We got there early and saw the players arriving and had a walk around, scoping out the facilities in preparation for us next trip up in May for the final game of the season against Leicester Tigers.

A great stadium and really close to the action. Our seats this time were on the halfway line in the East Stand. In May we’ll be up in the hospitality boxes opposite courtesy of the awesome UKFast!

Besides this, the match itself was well worth the 2.5 hour trip! Seeing the Sharks notch up 8 tries and a total of 58 points!

The final score was Sale Sharks 58-25 Worcester Warriors.

Some match! Entertaining from start to finish, with 2 tries coming in the first 10 minutes and their biggest total of points for the season!

Here’s a few of our photos we took:

We’ll be looking to attend as many matches as we can, particularly next season. Although a long journey, it’s an easy one up the motorway. If it’s anywhere near as entertaining as Saturday’s match it’s well worth it.

Best of luck to Sale Sharks – a few more results like that and that top 6 finish is a given!
