Today on Small Business Saturday we won’t be hard selling our services. We do brilliant marketing. Simple. Now enough of doing what we said we weren’t going to do!
We’ll be offering up as much information as we can to other small business over on Twitter. Links to tools and techniques to help you market yourself. Make 2018 the best year of trading for yourselves!
Worth bearing in mind that these tools and techniques are a great resource. BUT! A brilliant marketer it does not make you! Merely tools to put you in the right direction. We set out 2017 like we do any other year. Sad that Christmas is over. Apart from that refocusing from the Christmas blues and cracking on as normal. 2016 ended well and this momentum continued into 2017 which was great. In the last financial year we made a profit and business was good. Opportunities arose and we had loads of new clients on board. This lead to a busy spring and an even busier summer. Having experienced lulls before, we took the opportunity to ‘make hay’. The sun continued to shine. The hay continued to be made.
As 2017 Draws to a Close…
Autumn came and workload was relentless. In a good way. It began in the best way possible, being nominated and shortlisted as a finalist in the Herefordshire Business Awards. Made even better by us winning the award for ‘Growing Business of the Year’! Our busy 2017 was paying dividends and most of all it was great to have our efforts recognised externally and impartially.
The year neared it’s end. But our success had just begun it seemed. Being shortlisted as a finalist for the Sunshine Pride Awards! In the category of Entrepeneur / Business of the Year, along side two local goliaths, Merry-Go-Round Nursery and A Rule of Tum. We very much felt like the David in our category. However, much to our disbelief, we won! With Merry-Go-Round recently opening a third nursery. AROT having burger shops in Hereford and Worcester. As well as recently picking up a NATIONAL award for Best Sunday Lunch. We were aware of the exploits and successes of both finalists so to see both off was some achievement!
