Small Business Saturday’s Small Biz 100 Class of 2018
Small Business Saturday 2018 on the 1st December was pretty special for us. Why? It’s the first Small Business Saturday we’ve taken part in as an official Small Biz 100 business! You may have seen that we released a little teaser vid of our #SmallBiz100 day followed by a link to one of the 2 talks we did.
Now that Small Business Saturday is done and dusted, we are officially a Small Biz 100 class of 2018 Alumni!
One of only 3 other Herefordshire based business in the history of Small Business Saturday to be awarded the accolade:
Julu who were one back in last year in 2017.
Both the Great British Florist and Philip Morris were each a Small Biz 100 back in 2015
Incredibly proud to keep flying the flag for Herefordshire despite a noticeable lack of interest and support locally despite the incredibly exclusive accolade. Regardless of this we’ll keep doing what we’re doing. We’ve got this far on our own anyway…and now look where we’re at! Being recognised as one of the top 100 small businesses in the UK has somewhat gone under the radar locally. A big deal to us is apparently significantly irrelevant locally from what we can gather. As you can gather, we weren’t looking for attention, we are championing the County, trying our best to raise the profile of Herefordshire and thought it might be something to shout about. Apparently not!

We’ll always be here to support those who support us, and we’re so grateful for that mutually beneficial relationship. We work with some excellent local businesses and met some really great businesses from further afield. Not to mention new friendships! It took us a while to break into the local market back in our early days which was no mean feat. Since then we’ve continued to do what we can to establish ourselves…on our own. We are very grateful for those who have recognised what we do for the County. We’re proud Herefordians running a successful Herefordshire based business. Our efforts have been recognised nationally (the Midlands Business Awards, the Spotlight Awards, Best of Britain Awards and Small Business Saturday) and locally (specifically at the Herefordshire Business Awards and the Sunshine Radio Pride Awards). Not because we won, but because of the recognition of our work.
