He is very passionate about the cause and the opportunity. Chris will look to bring his diverse skill set to help develop awareness for the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre and for those that use its services.
What is the Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre?
The Herefordshire Veteran Support Centre was initiated to provide a range of services. A friendly drop in and central information, advice, training and coordination point for the whole of the armed forces family in Herefordshire. The centre is open 3 days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9am to 4.30pm. You can find them at: 19 West Street, Hereford, HR4 0BX. However, they will never turn someone away. So, if the shutters are up they are in, so pop in for a brew and chat. Remember it’s good to talk!
We walk the walk, not just talk the talk!
The DM Lab as a whole have a keen interest in everything we do. Doing what we can to support serving personnel, veterans, their families and carers. We’ve signed the Armed Forces Covenant and in addition we’ve been awarded bronze in the Employer Recognition Scheme – our declaration of commitment as a business to the armed forces. Above all, a commitment that we have already delivered on and will continue to deliver on. This is thanks to our supportive network of people around us which we are forever grateful for. Having hosted some digital workshops which we are looking to develop and hold in person soon.
We’re looking forward to lending our expertise as a business with the endeavour too. Throughout the pandemic, we’ve supported a lot of people and businesses and this was done without a financial interest – solely to help others when they needed it most. Let’s face it, nobody has had an easy ride through any of this. Above all, let’s continue to support each other however we can!
