Hope you all had a great Easter break? Weather was good so definitely can’t complain!
On Easter Sunday, we took part in the Tupsley 10k, organised (really well we’ll add!) by the Central Tupsley Community Group to raise funds for the Church Road school crossing patrol. There was loads to do besides the adults (age 14+) 10k race where runners from all walks of life took part (40 in total) from experienced club runners to keen amateurs (like us!). Kindly sponsored by Tupsley Dental Practise with the help of many volunteers, there was also an Easter egg hunt, a children’s 1k as well as a raffle, refreshments and cakes kindly donated by generous people / residents all to help raise funds.
We take our hats off to Jim Kenyon for organising, a great day with great weather and the Central Tupsley Community Group raised a whopping £700 towards the school crossing patrol. A massive well done to the top 3 male & female runners and well done everyone else who took part. Thanks to the marshals too for pointing the way and directing traffic. A great day all round!
