As you will have already experienced, these are uncertain times.
People and businesses are facing the strain of the lockdown. Our city has changed and we need to change too to keep up. There is a heavy focus on digital which includes online networking. As Charles Darwin once said,
“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent; it is the one most adaptable to change”
If there was as good a time as any to re-evaluate your digital presence, now is that time. People are, through boredom more than anything, turning to their mobile devices for entertainment. This can often mean scoping out things to buy when normality resumes. Now is the time to be thinking about touchpoints and how you can be visible as people browse on their phones.
It’s not a shot in the dark.
People will be in a situation, particularly in the months going forward, where they will have access through disposable income if they are not already returning to work. As a species, we inherently feel we’ll need to play catch-up and spend, spend, spend.
Now is the time to assert yourself in the marketplace. Think why your product is relevant, if you don’t think it is…make it relevant.
We are supporting the business community through Kinder Pococks weekly Zoom check-ins, Facebook help group and Herefordshire Means Business’ online networking event. These have been set up to be able to continue supporting one another through lockdown.
Proof of sorts that you can still be relevant and present – as long as you are digital.
We have compiled useful resources and information for you to use as you please. Support groups and online networking events have been set up. We encourage you to use them.
If we’re not careful, our city will end up as empty as these photos we took. We have to stick together.
