Hot Sauce Day

We LOVE hot and spicy food here at the lab. As we are on limited carb and low sugar diets getting a fix at Nandos is not an option. We have to meticulously plan our meal and what sauce to add to it to give it that kick.

We’re also huge Levi Roots fans, and one of his products in particular is a real savior to us – the Scotch Bonnet Chilli Sauce. No unnecessary added sugar, just pure, unadulterated spiciness! A fantastic sauce to spice up any dish, we cannot get enough of it!

One of our favourite homemade dishes is Mexican Spicy Mince. Here’s the recipe if you’re interested. It’s clean, high in protein and no sugar whatsoever:

Cook some beef mince, Mix up some chilli powder, salt, cumin, garlic granules, paprika, black pepper, oregano & cayenne pepper and add to the mince, add some boiling water and simmer until the water has evaporated and flavoured the mince. Chop up some chillis and throw them in. Mix it all up and serve with coleslaw, salad, a bit of grated cheese and some Scotch Bonnet Chilli Sauce.
