There was so much cool stuff showcased at Comic Con this year, Here is what excited us the most! 5) Fear The Walking Dead Anything to do with The Walking Dead gets the thumbs up from us, so this back story to the series has our attention
It's all over social media at the moment - the horrific effort a 'baker' has made to replicate an Elsa cake from Frozen - but is obviously way out of their depth. In case you haven't seen it - here it is (you can't un-see this so be warned!)
Welcome Chris Hyde!
Due to an injury to a tendon in my foot, I had to stop running and so to keep my fitness ticking over I bought and entry level Carrera Karkinos road bike from Halfords and decided to focus on cycling rather than just stop training.
Sunday mornings. What do you normally do? Have a lie-in? Not us! Here at The DM Lab, we pretty much do something every Sunday. Sunday 14 th June we entered the Sanlam UK Go Dad Run in Worcester. What is the Go Dad Run you ask?!
Yesterday (Sunday 7th June) our lab rats represented Team DM Lab in the Worcester 10k organised by Peak Performance Events, the sister company of Stride Out Events - whose races we have also taken part in.
One of the best intros to any movie ever has to be the beach landings depicted in Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan. Sat here behind our desks we can't even begin to comprehend how those young men felt and although just a movie, it's about as close as we could ever get to seeing the devastation of war and the frontline battles.
Here at The DM Lab, we like to work hard and play hard. Outside of work we are a pretty active bunch. Football, gym, swimming, running, cycling and surfing - if it makes you sweat we’re pretty much going to be doing it after work or at the weekend!
Offline Marketing is as important as online marketing. Without a doubt. We were having a tidy up in the studio the other day. We found all manner of flyers, posters, brochures, programmes and business stationery.
Another weekend passes, Team DM Lab enters another 10k race! This time, we entered the Northleach 10k all-terrain run in the Cotswolds. The race was a single lap around the beautiful town of Northleach, through fields, up hills, over a stream and along narrow country lanes.
Once again, Team DM Lab took part in another locally organised event to help support fantastic local charities, this time it was the turn of St Michael's Hospice and yesterday (Sunday 10th May) The DM Lab's very own team of Chris and Dale ran 13.
Yesterday (4th May) on Bank Holiday Monday we went to Eastnor Chilli Festival at Eastnor Castle. Weather was great, there were loads of really cool (but hot!) stalls with some AMAZING products. We pretty much sampled EVERYTHING - we love our spicy food here at The Lab!
Pretty excited about this!
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Mason? No! It's MARKETING MAN! Happy National Super Hero Day! #NationalSuperHeroDay
See something so staged on social meda that screams 'Social Media Engineering'? Thought so. A picture paints a thousand words, right? Sort of. A great picture will get you a whole bunch of ' Likes ', ' +1s ' ' pins ' and ' favourites / retweets '.
On Saturday (25th April) our Team DM Lab once again managed to drag themselves away from their desks to take part in the Abergavenny 10k once again organised by Steve and Jane Poolton (who were the organisers of the Almeley 10k ).
Slay your marketing dragons with us!
Team DM Lab completed the #Swimathon15 yesterday raising £150 for Marie Curie. Very tough but we enjoyed it and are pleased to have raised what we did for such a great cause.
We are really looking forward to this!
Our recent push to encourage local businesses to embrace the Google update on April 21st, aka, ' mobilegeddon ', stressing the importance and ranking significance of creating a user friendly mobile website.
Nothing is worse than a slow loading website which is why PageSpeed Insights are so valuable. Quite often we neglect to do for ourselves what we do for others. We try to practise what we preach. But time and resources are difficult to factor in.
"Mobilegeddon" is coming! Prepare for Mobilegeddon by making your website responsive. Your website must be mobile friendly by April 21st otherwise your website ranking will drop. We've broken down what will happen and what you will need to do in two previous blogs here: Google Usability Even More Crucial - Mobile Sites You NEED Your Website To Be MOBILE-FRIENDLY by April 21st If you have a website that isn't mobile friendly it is imperative you act now.
Hope you all had a great Easter break? Weather was good so definitely can't complain! On Easter Sunday, we took part in the Tupsley 10k, organised (really well we'll add!) by the Central Tupsley Community Group to raise funds for the Church Road school crossing patrol.
