Yesterday (Sunday 22nd March) our Visual Scientist Dale took part in the Pendock Spring Chicken 5km Run, a multi terrain run on gently undulating roads and farm tracks in south Worcestershire Countryside, leaving it too late to enter the 10k he fancied a go at the 5km.
We’re not trying to scare-monger anyone or even take advantage and make a fast buck on the back of Google’s update which starts on April 21 st which will penalise you if your website is not mobile friendly.
Rebecca came to us back in January looking for a website for her clinical hypnotherapy services. We managed the project through Basecamp and between us we put together a design, Rebecca provided us with comprehensive content and images and the project came together really quickly.
The ever-changing platform of Google can seem to make it an unfair playground for businesses, right? No. You'd be wrong. In fact the whole point is to make it an even playing field for all, ensuring both websites and users get a rich enhanced and accurate search experience.
Yesterday (Sunday 15th March 2015) the DM Lab team took part in the Resolution 10k Run at Hagley Hall 2015 to help raise awareness and money for the Stroke Association. It was a nice day for it and the course took us a bit by surprise with the hilly trail nature of the course around the Hagley Hall estate!

Something from our archives! We have worked with Mr. Williams of Alder Mill on two occasions now, where we have produced 3D renders and elevations of a building and an extension for planning purposes.
Yesterday (Sunday 1 st March), our Creative Director / Visual Scientist Dale took part in the Almeley 10k - a six-ish mile running race around the beautiful countryside of Herefordshire, with an amazing view of the Black Mountains.
Established in 2010 We’ve only really started to gain recognition in the local market. In the last, say, 6 months at most? As we explained in our other blog, we are based in Hereford but because of what we do, it doesn’t limit our customer base solely to the local area.
You may or may not not know that our other passion besides design and digital marketing is fitness and nutrition. We've already blogged about our ketogenic lifestyle and our dislike of sugar. Since today is Mint Chocolate Day, we thought it was a good opportunity to show you what our indulgent treats are as we don't eat cakes, biscuits or sweets which are a standard go-to choice if you need a fix.
On Sunday 15th February, The DM Lab entered a team to take part in Mud Runner Ice Breaker 10 - a gruelling 10km mud run on the Land Rover testing grounds at Eastnor Estate. Part fun, part a brand awareness exercise with our clothing from The Beeline Company in Hereford, doing what we can to support local businesses as well as get our name out there!
Last night we bodged together a team (Dale, Chris from The DM Lab and Dave & Matt from Holtek IT ) and entered the inter-business quiz in support of Phoenix Bereavement. We went it to it expecting to do badly (we are rubbish at quizzes) but it was all for a good cause and it was a bit of fun plus we got to put a few names to faces from other local businesses taking part.

Our start up and how it all began A business start up was never a goal of mine. I (Dale) graduated from university in 2004 with a BA(Hons) in animation & design. The summer was spent writing to all sorts of companies that I desperately wanted to work for.
We've just updated our 99designs profile! New cover, updated portfolio and generally freshened it up. Hopefully earning us a Platinum designer status. We'll keep you posted! We're still really proud of our 3 wins and 4 x runner-ups.

We've been fortunate enough to collaborate with our friends at Curzon Creative in Cardiff again for more 3D images of products for Catnic's new look brochures. The products were modeled from technical drawings and are to illustrate how the product is used.

Tattyanna and the Spider This is Tattyanna. She lives on the shelf all alone. She was sad because nobody played with her. One day all of the other toys pushed Tattyanna off the shelf and she fell into a dark, dusty corner.
